Why a Recirculating Machine Won’t Do Everything You Want It To Do

A 600 gallon re-circulation machine can be loaded with 200 pounds of paper mulch. If the desired application rate is 25 pounds per 1,000 square feet, then this tank load can be applied to cover 8,000 square feet (a very thin mulch application). It will take at least and hour to mix and apply this one tank load making the application with a hose. A TurfMaker® 430 can be loaded with 250 pounds of paper mulch. Making the same mulch rate coverage, this tank load will cover 10,000 square feet. It will take about 30 minutes to mix and apply this one tank load making the application with a hose. Therefore, a 430 gallon TurfMaker® covers 25% more area with the same mulch application rate as a 600 gallon re-circulation machine in half the time. |
