For the buying customer, laid sod costs from $2.50 - $5.00 per square yard, depending what part of the country you are in and on the choice of grasses. Premium Hydromulching can be provided to the customer for a selling price of $1.25 - $2.00 per square yard, depending upon the grass planted. Typically, the customer will pay about ˝ to ⅔ for premium hydromulching when compared to the price of a sodded lawn. On the negative side, occasionally it will be difficult to compete with cheap (thin mulch) hydro-seeding. When faced with 3˘ - 5˘ per square foot hydroseeding, some customers are simply blinded by cheap prices. |
